Hi, I’m Sapphire; founder, designer and the creative heart behind Sapphire Frills.

From our little studio in Norfolk, my small team and I hand make colourful jewellery and accessories designed to make you feel happy when you wear them. Every design starts as a hand drawn sketch before being carefully brought to life in small batches using acrylic, polymer clay, resin and wood.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

After graduating from Norwich University of the Arts in 2015 with a First Class degree in Fashion, I briefly moved to London to work at Ted Baker. But deep down, I knew I wanted to build something of my own.

After moving back home to Norfolk, I started experimenting creatively and in 2019, Sapphire Frills was born.

What began as a tiny handmade business has since grown into a colourful independent jewellery brand with thousands of customers across the UK and beyond.

Today, Sapphire Frills is proudly handmade in Norfolk by our small female-led team.

Every order is carefully finished by hand in our studio, from painting tiny details to assembling jewellery and packing your parcels with love. Because everything is handmade in small batches, no two pieces are ever exactly the same and we think that makes them even more special.

MEET THE TEAM

💖 Sapphire – Founder & Jewellery Designer

Sapphire is the founder and creative force behind Sapphire Frills. Every design begins as one of her original hand-drawn illustrations before being transformed into jewellery. She designs and samples all new collections, tests and cuts new designs on the laser, and oversees the day-to-day running of the business.

Alongside the creative side, Sapphire manages all marketing, including emails, SMS campaigns, Instagram Stories, posts, reels and paid advertising. She also updates the website, manages SEO and plans the year's launches, event schedule and marketing campaigns. You'll often find her working behind the scenes bringing new ideas to life, or chatting to customers at events.

✨ Tash – Head Jewellery Maker

Tash is our Head Jewellery Maker and keeps the workshop running smoothly day to day. She cuts all of our acrylic restock designs on the laser, paints acrylic pieces, assembles jewellery and oversees the fulfilment of customer orders. Tash also manages our team of jewellery makers and, since Sapphire has been on maternity leave, has taken on a huge role in our marketing too, helping create Instagram Stories, posts and reels. You may also catch her at the occasional event!

🌈 Brogan – Jewellery Maker

Brogan creates and paints much of our polymer clay, resin and acrylic jewellery collections. She carefully assembles jewellery onto its fixings, helps fulfil customer orders and prepares stock for events by pricing and packaging pieces ready for display. Her attention to detail helps ensure every piece leaves the workshop looking its very best.

🎀 Katie – Jewellery Maker

Katie paints our acrylic jewellery, assembles pieces onto their fixings and helps fulfil customer orders. She also prepares stock for our events by pricing and organising products ready for display. Katie is a valued part of the workshop team, helping keep everything running efficiently behind the scenes.

🎤 Abi – Events Staff & Live Presenter

Abi is the face you'll most often see when Sapphire Frills is out and about. She runs the majority of our events, helping customers find their perfect pieces and sharing her love for all things colourful jewellery. Abi is also the face of our Whatnot live sales, where she showcases end of line designs, chats with customers and brings plenty of fun and energy to every live session.

For me, Sapphire Frills has always been about more than accessories.

It’s about confidence, self expression and finding joy in the little things. I truly believe colourful jewellery can completely change how you feel when you put it on, and I hope every piece we create brings a little happiness to your day 💖
